A new website is like a new building
You may have already noticed that the new websites of the elexis AG and its associated companies EMG and BST have been online for a few weeks.
In a figurative sense, the project to design and implement a new website is reminiscent of planning a new company building. You have basic ideas and start with rough planning, which in our case should be a reflection of the strategic orientation of the companies concerned and their integration into the elexis AG. Then comes the search for architects and craftsmen - i.e. appropriate experts for the website design and implementation as well as the provision of building materials and tools, in this context media and image material as well as the necessary software tools.
And of course, there is always trouble with the craftsmen, tools don't quite work as intended, time is breathing down your neck and someone reminds you of the cost situation, but this is normal for such a project. In the end, what counts is the successful project management and, of course, the results. When you have moved in and feel comfortable, that is the reward for the hard work, not only for the craftsmen, but above all for the architect, the contractor and the residents.
In short, we have moved in and feel comfortable in the new virtual company building. For you, the user, it is now particularly easy to get an overview of the various business areas of EMG and the associated product groups.
Here you will find the business units "Metals" and "Safety components for heavy-duty logistics" in a modern and tidy form with the possibility of direct and easy contact with our sales staff and the service area.
It is just as easy to access the central website of elexis and our sister company BST, which represents the business area "Flexible Materials". The connection within elexis on the one hand and the independence of each business unit regarding the range of applications on the other hand are reflected by a comparable basic design but different colour scheme.

We met again: International sales meeting at EMG on 8 and 9 June in Wenden.
What a reunion! After a break of two years due to the pandemic, the time had finally come again this year. The majority of the almost 40 international sales and service partners of EMG Automation GmbH met for a two-day exchange at the headquarters and production site in Wenden.
As there are currently still restrictions on travel in Asia, it was a special pleasure for us to be able to connect these colleagues at least virtually to the lectures and discussions. Hybrid event was the magic word.
In addition to the main content, which of course also revolved around the expansion and innovations in the EMG product portfolio, the focus was on personal exchange and social interaction, both in the workshops and in the accompanying cultural programme.
All participants came to the conclusion that, despite the many difficulties of the recent years, the EMG family has grown even closer together with the help of digital communication and due to the great mutual trust.
The entire sales team is looking forward to continuing to work together with you as customers and partners and is looking forward to new projects and tasks with motivation, an open mind, and a commitment to success.
And not to forget: We look forward to your personal visit in Wenden. A personal impression of the production site and location in “The Sauerland” is always better than a digital image! Be welcome!
John Cockerill once again recognizes and awards EMG as “Quality Performance Supplier”
In a supplier evaluation by our customer John Cockerill from India, EMG has once again been rated as "Quality Performer" for the period between 2019 to 2022. JCIL’s most important criteria, namely Quality & Performance of Systems, were weighted particularly high in this regard.
John Cockerill is a world renowned 200 years old company, now assists its customers from all over the world in the equipment and services for the treatment of steels and non-fFerrous metals production of processing lines and rolling mills.
John Cockerill Industry has branches in North America, Germany, Belgium, China, Finland, France, India and Eastern Europe and benefits from the global geographic footprint of the John Cockerill Group.
EMG already achieved the same outstanding result in John Cockerill India supplier evaluation for the period 2015 to 2017.

The EU RoHS directive means the near end of classic fluorescent tubes in EMG solutions
The EU-wide RoHS directive (Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) specifies various chemical substances that may not be used in electrical and electronic equipment. Since discharge lamps do not work without mercury, they are listed as exceptions in the current version of the directive so far.
The current exemptions according to the RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) will already expire on 25.2.2023 (compact fluorescent lamp without integrated electronic ballast) and on 25.8.2023 (T5 and T8 fluorescent tube). The whole issue also applies to the USA and China (which have their own RoHS directives). India is reportedly planning the same. For this reason, EMG will generally no longer sell fluorescent tubes as spare parts by these deadlines.
For EMG users, this means the need to take care of replacing the old lighting unit with the LED-based LLS solution now at the latest. This partcullaryparticularly concerns the following products:
- LIC (Light transmitter compact)
- LIH/LIH2 (ambient-light-proof light transmitter)
- LIE (constant light emitter with electronic ballast)
- H.xxx (uniform light emitter without "LED" designation)
- Spare parts fluorescent tubes

EMG is pleased to welcome you to Aluminium China from 10-12 August at the International Convention and Exhibition Center, Tanzhou, Guangdo in China. Aluminium China is one of the largest conferences in Asia covering the entire aluminium industry and supply chain. This is where the leading manufacturers, solution providers and users come together.
Together with MESACON Messelektronik GmbH, EMG will be presenting its solutions for the aluminium sector, with a focus on MESACON thickness measurement, which has been expanding the product portfolio of EMG's Metal business unit since May 2022.

ALUMINIUM is the world's leading trade fair and B2B platform for the aluminium industry and its main user industries. The trade fair connects producers, processors, end users as well as technology suppliers with each other. International innovations along the entire value chain are presented at ALUMINIUM.
