EMG SMI Inductive Sensor

Inductive position measurement - EMG SMI

EMG SMI

Inductive strip position measurement with EMG SMI is based on electromagnetic induction, in which the strip passes without contact between two center sensors located at the edges of the strip.
The center sensor, which is located above the strip, is used as the transmitter and the opposite center sensor as the receiver.
Important features of the inductive measuring systems include extensive self-monitoring, freedom from maintenance, robustness and a modular sensor design.

Advantages of inductive strip position measurement

  • 01

Wide range of applications from 0.05 mm to 16 mm strip thickness (others on request)

  • 02

Sensors are insensitive to external interferences

  • 03

Safe detection of non-magnetic materials, e.g. aluminium, copper, etc.

  • 04

Wide range of variation options to meet individual customer requirements

Maintenance-free, dirt-resistant, precise – a sensor that works so inconspicuously for years that it is easy to forget it is there.
