A view through the furnace wall?

Possible with the radar-based sensor EMG-Vivaldi®! Since no components are installed inside the furnace, our radar sensor offers a low-maintenance and safe solution with low operating costs for your furnace application.

EMG-Vivaldi® is based on the principle of so-called Vivaldi antennas. The system consists of two pairs of antennas, each placed on a side wall of the furnace. One antenna serves as a transmitter and the other as a receiver.  

The evaluation of the data and thus the determination of the strip center position is carried out within the control cabinet via RPU (Radar Processing Unit) and DPU (Data Processing Unit).
