Mechanical Processing
Our mechanical manufacturing division is synonymous with precision, flexibility, and a high degree of vertical integration. Around 40 qualified employees work in three shifts on 22 modern CNC machines, processing a diverse portfolio of about 2,200 different manufactured parts. With approximately 50,400 production hours annually and a production volume of about 300,000 components, we ensure reliable, cost-effective, and on-time production.
All parts are programmed in-house using Top Solid software from Moldtech and the production fixtures are designed and assembled by our in-house fixture-making department.
In addition to traditional machining processes such as threading, milling, drilling and sawing, our range of services also includes numerous specialised manufacturing processes.
Paint department
In our painting department, components with a wide variety of complex geometries are professionally coated. After thorough surface cleaning, the parts are painted using high-quality 2K acrylic paint systems in various colors according to RAL, Munsell, and NCS standards. Modern application techniques ensure a uniform, high-quality finish as well as reliable corrosion protection up to Class C5-M according to ISO 12944-6.
Gear manufacturing
In our gear manufacturing facility, we use state-of-the-art gear hobbing and gear shaping machines to produce precise gears for a variety of applications in a cost-effective and highly accurate manner. This enables us to manufacture a wide range of gear components, from small to large.
Lapping
Honing is a precision finishing process used to improve dimensional accuracy, geometric accuracy, and surface finish. Fine-grit abrasive tools are used to produce high-precision surfaces, typically as a final machining step following drilling or grinding.
Pushing and clearing
In our pushing and clearing section, we use a machine for the precise internal machining of workpieces. With its flexible table, cross-slide and longitudinal adjustment, the machine enables the cost-effective and dimensionally accurate production of keyways, gear teeth and other profiled geometries in a variety of materials.
Grinding
In our grinding department, we use a range of high-precision grinding machines to machine workpieces to tight dimensional tolerances and achieve an excellent surface finish.
Electrical Processing
From mechanical machining (drilling of panels and cabinets) through to electrical assembly (wiring and installation) and final testing – at EMG, all this is carried out in-house!
Control cabinet construction
EMG Automation GmbH manufactures a total of approximately 1,700 control cabinets per year in its in-house control cabinet manufacturing facility, including approximately 700 standard control cabinets and approximately 1,000 control cabinets tailored to individual customer requirements. From mechanical machining (drilling of panels and cabinets) to electrical assembly (wiring and installation) and final testing, at EMG, we handle it all in-house.
PCB manufacturing
In our PCB manufacturing facility, we produce approximately 30,000 PCBs per year, ranging from batch sizes of 1 to custom single-unit orders. From PCB layout to SMT assembly, selective soldering, and customer-specific final inspection of the PCB — all under one roof.
