EMG fulfils Christmas wishes of the children at Josefshaus Olpe

Yesterday, the trainees of EMG Automation GmbH handed over more than 30 presents for the children and young people living at the Josefshaus Olpe, as well as a donation of 1,000 euros. With their campaign "We fulfil children's wishes", the trainees of EMG Automation GmbH carried out this Christmas campaign for the second time after the premiere last year.

Dr. Rolf Merte, Chairman of the Management Board of EMG, explains: "I think the campaign of our apprentices is very strong. It was overwhelming how courageously and quickly the entire staff participated. This spirit of our EMG makes me proud. I'm especially pleased that we were able to bring joy to the children and young people in the Josefshaus, some of whom have experienced terrible blows of fate, for Christmas."

At the beginning of December, the apprentices from the first year of training set up a Christmas tree in EMG's company building in Wenden, to which they attached the wish lists of the children and young people at the Josefshaus. On each of the more than 30 slips of paper was the name and wish of a child. The staff could take one of these with them to fulfil the wish. In just two days, all the slips of paper were taken down.

Since many more employees wanted to participate, a donation box was set up without further ado. In this way, the trainees were able to present the Josefshaus - in compliance with the corona protection measures - not only with the ready-wrapped gifts, but also a donation of 1,000 euros.
